Background

Georgia stepped onto the path of democratic development, a process that has been going on with many difficulties and afflictions. Sever unemployment, low average ratio of earnings, high cost of food stuffs and medications further aggravate social environment. for the most part of the population the living standards are below poverty threshold. Under the circumstances, invalid children rate as one of the groups socially least protected. Medical aid for these children requires substantial funding along with expensive medications that prove out of access for many of the families. These are mostly multi-children families living in extreme conditions.   All of this was the premise for creation of the Invalid Children's Association for Social Protection and Rehabilitation, a unit to service mediator function between the government and the affected group. Croup unites parents of invalid children.
