•  The proper literature on Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI), ("Baby Friendly Hospital Global Initiative", "European Plan of BFHI"; "Self Appraisal Tool") has been translated, prepared and  distributed in pediatric services and all related structures. BFHI policy and corresponding teaching program have been worked out. 
•  Teaching seminars on BFHI have been conducted in 20 maternity houses, in all 900 health workers have been trained; 
•  Booklets and leaflets on BFHI issues (BFHI, plan of preparation of pregnant woman on lactation issues in woman consultation centers) were prepared and distributed; 
•  BFHI director from Great Britain, Andrew Redford trained and composed the group of specialist-assessors, who were given the right of external assessment of maternity houses; 
•  Self appraisal took place in previously prepared maternity houses; 
• External assessment was conducted by external assessors in the maternity houses having high indicators of self-appraisal; 
•  Accreditation committee of baby friendly hospital was formed; Nowadays 5 maternity houses are awarded BFHI titles; 2 - are given the certificate of commitment.
