Situated in the heart of the Central Caucasus, Svaneti Province is famous through its close association with Georgian mountaineering history. The summits of  Svaneti always attracted mountaineers from various countries, and especially  European climbers, who were some of the first to reach such summits as Ailama (4525m), Ushba (4710m), Tetnuldi (4974m). The first ascent of Shkhara (5201m), the highest mountain of Georgia, was made by Georgian climbers in 1933.

Mt. ShkharaMount Ushba is the most magnificent and severe mountain of the Caucasus. Both summits  have difficult routes (IV-VI UIAA).

Mount Shkhara is the highest summit of the Bezingi Wall with several peaks: The Main Summit 5201m, the Western Summit 5057m, and the South Summit 4380m. On Ushba and Shkhara we offer the classic routes.

Combined routes with steep rocky, icy, and snow sections and the size of these objectives make them quite serious undertaking, requiring excellent physical condition and mountaineering experience. Our guides make every effort to help you realise your summit ambitions, although your own experience and ability to work as part of a team will be an important factor in making the summit. Before coming on the expedition you should inform us about your mountaineering background.
