Young Engineers Association of Georgia Mission Statement
During past several years our society has changed dramatically. After collapsing of Soviet Union, Georgia has appeared in a grave political and economical situation.
Production and industrialn processes were completely destroyed. Renovation of industry and production and reanimation of economy is vital necessity for our country. We believe that renaissaince of economy must be done through development of democratic society and implementation of modern technologies. Young Engineers Association of Georgia was created by the group of engineers and enthusists in the end of 1995 and is devoted to facilitate in solving these problems.
Main Goals of the YEAG are:
- Development and implementation of modern engineering and information technologies which will enable Georgian society to override economic crisis and to create democratic establishment in the country;
- Startegic planning and complex analysis of technologies;
- Improvement of technical skills of engineers and technicians;
- Gathering technical information on inventions and innovations that were made in Georgia and creation of database;
- Working on improvement of legislation basis of copyrights of inventions and innovations;
- Connect engineering and technical forces of Georgia (various institutes, scientific organizations, workgroups and individuals) with potential contractors and partners from abroad;
- Consultation on technical issues for various organizations and individuals ;
- Development of environmentally safe technologies;
- Searching for technical literature and periodicals on modern technologies, their transition, publication and distribution, creation of TV and radio broadcasting systems;
- Creation of computer and information network, development of databases;
- Development of modern technologies in the regions of Georgia, promotion of enterpreneuership;
- Assistance to young people willing to receive engineering and technical education abroad, development of contacts with foreign governmental, non-governmental, scientific and commercial organizations and with industrial and educational centers.
