CHILDS IN MOUNTAIN

    The same children' s club in October 8-12, 1999 has organized travel in Kaheti in which 48 children participated.
From Tbilisi up to village Phshaveli children travelled by the bus. On a way they have visited a House - museum of the known Georgian poet Alexsander Chavchavadze, the Alaverdi monastery (XI century), the city - fortress Gremi, the memorial museum of Ilia Chavchavadze in Kvareli.

    From Phshaveli travellers went to the Stori gorge that connects Kaheti region to high-mountainous area- Tusheti. Children have passed on foot 15 km through the gorge down to Thorgva canyon.

    The Union plans to organize in 2000, during the children winter vacation  a campus in well-known winter resorts of Georgia: Gudauri and Bakuriani. In the summer of 2000  several trekking in mountains will be organized.
The Union is ready to cooperate with organizations, whose programs provide development of children's mountain tourism, ecological, cultural and physical education of children. In case of the appropriate financial support, it can undertake organization of the international children's travels on most beautiful mountain areas of Georgia.
