Imbued with a message from the past, the historic monuments of generations of people remain to the present day as living witnesses of their age-old Traditions. People are becoming more and more conscious of the unity of human values and regard ancient monuments as a common responsibility to safeguard them for future generations is recognized. It is our duty to hand them on it the full richness of their authenticity.

Venice Charte

The Restoration Center of Architectural Heritage of Georgia was established in 1978. Center is a group of representatives of different specialties, such as architects-conservators, restorers, chemistry technologies, art historians, engineers, etc. Their qualification and rich professional experience provides high quality of the Restoration Center's activities.
 

Current Projects

The Restoration Center of Architectural Heritage is aimed to carry out the following projects of  significant monuments of Georgia:

Shatili complex: conservation and revitalization project (coordinator architect Vazha Chincharauli)
Vardzia: strengthening of rocks (coordinator architect Tamar Nemsadze)
Development of the Cultural Tourism: preparing the project of management,  the site plans and guideline (coordinator architect David Jincharadze)
Save Art Nouveau Style Architecture of Georgia. Fund Rising. (coordinator architect Nestan Tatarashvili)

Because of the economic crisis of the state,  the Center ( former governmental organization) must  find out the necessary finance  independently. The specialists of the center won several important tenders  during last two years. The implementation of  projects is possible only with the help of grants. The Center is  finding useful contacts with international funds and organizations, experts and specialists, for rising professional experience and overcome the informational crisis. The Restoration Center of Architectural Heritage of Georgia is always ready for collaboration with all persons or organizations which will be interested in the Center's activities.
