The first project of the Law Service Center which is currently in the process of implementation is “Tax Legislation”. This project is aimed at supporting the on – going process of legal reform in Georgia. 
   The project is financed by the Open Society Georgia Foundation and envisages publishing the 1st law textbook for students. The textbook will be not only a teaching material, but also a wonderful commentary of the current tax code of Georgia. 
   The textbook will assist the physical and juridical persons to better understand tax paying regulations, which quite often are unclear and require explanation. The author and the director of the project is Georgie Nanobashvili, the Executive Director of the LSC.  The author of the textbook is Zviad Rogava, one of the founders of the organization, tax code specialist of practicing lawyer. 
   According to the timetable the project will conclude on September 30, 1999. The textbook will be printed in 1,000 copies 500 of which will be distributed free of charge among regional NGOs, University students, libraries and human rights defending NGOs from Tbilisi. The rest of the copies (500) will be sold at affordable price. 
   The organization continues to work intensively on various other projects. The Center intends to be widely involved in the projects aimed at combating corruption and supporting the judicial reform.
